We continue on along the St. Lawrence Seaway to another NY state park and the Eisenhower Lock - the last part of the canal in the US.
There is a NY state park right at the lock but you have to go through this tunnel to get there and going by the numbers we would only clear by 2 inches - too close for our comfort.
OK - This isn't our photo but it shows how the St. Lawrence Seaway actually runs above the road and is the one we would like to have taken.
So we had to settle for this campsite at the nearby Coles Creek State Park instead only about 20ft from the St. Lawrence River. Several of the big ships passed right in front of us.
It was pretty stressful but Mary managed it ....
And the view for dinner wasn't too shabby either.
